Last season Team Sumit lost one of their most beloved members, Chadd Burroughs. Chadd passed away unexpectedly Feb 3, 2010, in Chester CA. Chadd's wake was Feb 12, 2010, and over 400 people were in attendance, with over 50 snowmobiles and dirt bikes lining the church parking lot to honor the loss of our dear friend. Chadd was only 29.
Chadd grew up in the mountains of Northern California in La Porte, CA. Chadd has been around snowmobiles, worked on snowmobiles, and raced snowmobiles since he was an infant. He owned and operated Chester Mountain Sports, in Chester, CA. Like many of us, his love and desire for the mountains and snow, is one that he shared and held close to his heart. Chadd was the type of guy that brought a smile to your face anytime of day. His loss is one the strikes deep into the hearts of friends, sledders and outdoor enthusiasts all across the state and country. His presence, sense of humor, and friendship is one that can never be duplicated or replaced. We the riders, friends, families and followers of Team Summit are devastated by this loss and will forever hold a close place in our hearts for Chadd. RIP dear friend, you will be missed more than words can ever explain.
